Summary

We report a case of acute accidental sodium arsenite intake in

a young farmer, with the only manifestations of a self-limited

clinical picture of vomiting, colicky abdominal pain and electrocardiographic

repolarisation disturbances. The patient was eventually

discharged after complete recovery. Toxic arsenic levels were detected

in plasma and urine.
