Summary

Myocardial bridging of epicardial coronary arteries can cause a compression effect during systole. The anterior descending artery is the most commonly affected. This phenomenon is also known as milking. The clinical spectrum is varied. The patient may be symptom-free or experience varying degrees of chest pain during exercise or rest. We describe

4 patients treated for myocardial bridging in a hospital emergency department. Physicians should become familiar with this phenomenon in order to understand its management and implications.
